Consider

由7日酒店檢疫至現在3日酒店檢疫，一直考慮（consider）要不要去旅行，考慮到暑假都結束了。多少日酒店檢疫都是令人卻步，而且太難訂房了。

動詞consider解「考慮、細想、斟酌」，考慮中的事情當然未發生，所以consider應該好像動詞learn（學習）、want（想要）一樣後接（to+動詞）嗎？其實不是，consider需要後接-ing動名詞，表達考慮「某事情」。例如，I am learning to drive.（我正在學習駕車。）I want to drive.（我想駕車。）I am considering driving to the cinema.（我正在考慮駕車去戲院。）

Consider也可以後接somebody for/as something和that...例如，They may still consider you as a potential candidate for the role they have advertised.（他們可能仍會視你為他們所宣傳職位的潛在候選人。）Many parents consider that mastering English will provide their children with more opportunities to succeed in their careers.（許多家長認為，掌握英語將為孩子提供更多在事業上取得成功的機會。）
