Home Ownership Scheme

政府重建置業階梯，居者有其屋計劃（Home Ownership Scheme）折扣優惠吸引，每次推出都吸引超額申請。新一期居屋將於五月接受申請，這個月傳媒已經不斷報道。

動詞own解「擁有」。例如，His girlfriend owns two restaurants.（他的女朋友擁有兩家餐館。）You don't need to own a flat to improve your living environment.（你不需要擁有住宅來改善你的生活環境。）

Own是stative verb（狀態動詞），不是用於描述動作，所以除了用於強調，一般不能有進行時式，不可以說「owning」。其他stative verbs的例子有agree（同意）、appreciate（感謝）、doubt（懷疑）、owe（虧欠）、realise（明白）、belong（屬於）、want（想）等等。

Own加上字尾-er，變成名詞owner，解「擁有者」。Owner再加上字尾-ship，則解「所有權」。例句︰We failed to find the owner of the car.（我們沒有找到車主。）My mother wants to transfer the ownership of this flat to me.（媽媽想把這單位的所有權轉讓給我。）
