Do things right Vs Do the right things

有現代管理創始人之稱的著名美國管理顧問Peter Drucker曾說："Management is doing things right; leadership is doing the right things."（「管理是正確地做事；領導是做正確的事。」）兩者同樣重要。

Adverbs（副詞）多是-ly字尾，例如slowly（慢慢地）、objectively（客觀地）、sincerely（真誠地）；adjectives（形容詞）則多數不會以-ly結尾。當然，這規律亦有例外，例如，right可以是adverb或adjective；early只可以用作adjective。要知道在句子中，該字是扮演甚麼part of speech（詞性），可以看其意思和句法。

Do things right意即「正確地做事」，right在這句放在do things之後，形容how you do things（怎樣做事），所以是adverb。Do the right things指「做正確的事」，right放在名詞things之前，形容what things you do（做甚麼事），所以是adjective。Adverbs在於描述how（怎麼樣），adjectives在於形容what（甚麼）。
