Dispossessed Fund

倫敦格蘭菲塔大火雖然已經發生了兩個星期，但是災民失去了所有財物，《倫敦標準晚報》仍在努力呼籲各界捐款到「一無所有基金」（Dispossessed Fund）。

動詞possess解「擁有」，dispossess是反義詞，解「剝奪」，奪去某人的財產，尤指房屋或土地。例句︰Many people were dispossessed of their property when the French colonized the country.（當那國家淪為法國的殖民地，許多人都被剝奪財產。）還有repossess，解「收回」，尤指買家因未能如期付款，而被收回財產。例句︰If you default on the loan, the bank can repossess your flat.（如果你拖欠貸款，銀行可以收回你的單位。）

「一無所有的人、被剝奪財產的人」可以稱為the dispossessed，語法跟the poor（窮人）、the rich（有錢人）、the elderly（老人）等等一樣︰定冠詞（definite article）the加上形容詞（adjective）dispossessed，用作複數名詞（plural noun）。例句︰The voices of the dispossessed need to be heard too.（一無所有者的聲音都需要被聽到。）
