Trait

語言仍然是人類獨有的特質（trait）嗎﹖人工智能聊天機械人ChatGPT透過自然語言處理模型分析大數據，除了問答解難，還可以撰寫論文、小說、劇本，甚至寫詩填詞。

名詞trait解「特質、特徵、特性」，即是a distinguishing quality（與眾不同的品質），這個生字的重點是distinguishing，不單止表達某品質是某人或物的特徵，而且是識別標誌。例如，The human trait that sets us apart from other animals is our extraordinary brain.（使我們有別於其他動物的人類特徵是我們非凡的大腦。）Language and abstract thinking are our most unique human traits.（語言和抽象思維是我們最獨特的人類特徵。）

Trait一字常用於描述個人的性格和品格特徵。譬如，Why should I hire you？Please share with me what you consider as your most unique trait.（為甚麼我要聘用你？請與我分享你認為你最獨特的特質是甚麼。）Persistence is certainly one of our family traits.（堅持肯定是我們家族的特質之一。）
