Moot用作形容詞時，有兩個意思。上文提到的用法指「無實際意義的、不相關的、不重要的」，尤其用於指因無實際意義而不值得討論。例句︰The two-hour meeting was moot as there was no possibility for any changes.（那兩小時的會議沒有實際意義，因為沒有任何改變的可能性。）
You don't have the time to go out, so it's all moot anyway.（你沒有時間出去，一切都不需要談了。）
