Trash

博客力量大，德州一個博客拒付部分婚禮攝影師收費，更在其博客網頁詆毀攝影師，嚴重破壞（trash）她的聲譽，以致她生意盡失。法庭最終要求博客賠償攝影師高達100萬美元。

Trash一字用作名詞時，原意指「垃圾」，英式英文則用rubbish。例如，Can you take the trash out？（你可以把垃圾拿出去嗎﹖）Trash可以引伸指「廢物、廢話、拙劣作品」，例如，When will the politician stop talking trash？（那政客何時停止說廢話？）Why would I watch that trash on TV？（為甚麼我會看這垃圾電視節目﹖）

Trash用作動詞時，指「嚴重損壞、破壞」，將某物變成垃圾一樣。例句︰Our flat was trashed by the renter.（我們的房子被租客嚴重破壞了。）They are trying to trash her reputation with lies but no one says anything for her.（他們試圖用謊言來詆毀她的聲譽，但沒有人為她說任何話。）

Trash亦可以指「猛烈批評」，批評到一文不值，猶如垃圾。例句︰The media ruthlessly trashed his works.（媒體無情地猛烈批評他的作品。）
