南韓濟州航空空難釀179人身亡，航空公司安全系數頓成關注焦點。國際航空安全評價網站發布2024年度，最安全25大航空公司及名單，其中紐西蘭航空已獲2年冠軍，本港「呢間」航空公司上榜入10甲！

全球知名國際航空安全評價網站「AirlineRatings」早前根據航空公司緊急設備、機組人員緊急訓練、飛行員培訓評估、飛機安全檢查維修及機隊年齡等作評測，由385家航空公司中評選出2024年度最安全的25大航空及廉價航空公司名單，其中最安全航空冠軍「紐西蘭航空(Air New Zealand)」以優秀的安全記錄和一流的服務脫穎而出，評測大讚其嚴格遵守國際航空安全標準並積極推動可持續發展，致力減少碳足跡及環境影響，因此自2022年奪冠後，今年再獲冠軍，而本港國泰航空亦躋身上榜排行第9：
