香港租金高昂，想節省開支只能「住細啲、住遠啲」，並想盡辦法善用空間。一名內地女生來港讀碩士，以7,600元租住大圍一房間睡「窗台床」，未料短短第6日便發生意外，自嘆「卑微」付出慘痛代價。

該名內地女生在小紅書分享，指自己今年來港讀碩士課程，與友人夾租大圍名城一個低層4房單位，細房至主人房租金由7,600元至10,000元，她則以月租7,600元租住其中一個約40至50呎的房間，與室友共用一廳兩廁。由於房間有限，為了讓騰出更多活動空間，事主將「睡床」設於窗台，未料僅入住6天便釀成意外。

窗台加床架當睡床
從照片可見，該房間有個大窗台，長度足夠一個人躺臥，事主在上面架設特製床架變成睡床，床尾則有一個窗戶。她當天早上起床後，去完洗手間躺回床上玩手機，正打算放下手機準備繼續睡的時候，手一滑，手機從玻璃窗縫隙掉下去。她未回神過來，聽到手機著地的聲音，原以為掉在地板上，怎料竟然掉到1樓平台，
「腦子還沒有反應過來，先聽到了清脆的一聲，『未見其物先聞其聲』，是心碎的聲音！」

事主指，幸好手機掉落時沒有擊中人，否則後果嚴重，而手機徹底損毀，屏幕全碎裂如蜘蛛網狀，手機殼亦斷成兩半，碎片散落在平台草叢、木地板上。她表示，晚上睡覺為了通風只好打開窗，但窗戶與玻璃擋板之間有一道很大的縫隙，一不小心就會有東西從縫隙掉下去，結果釀成意外。
事主在文中只嘆是「卑微港碩（香港碩士生）」，形容「來香港的第6天，付出了慘痛的代價」，甚至指往後也不敢開窗睡覺。
網民斥：$7600睡窗台？
帖文一出引起網民留言，對於事主月付7,600元租金卻要睡在窗台感驚訝，稱︰「$7,600睡飄窗，太離譜」、「不至於吧」，甚至認為事主被經紀欺騙，認為如此租金能找到更佳租盤，例如是大埔墟的套房或唐樓單位。
