待在家中也可享受酒吧和電影院般的樂趣。英國一名41歲兩孩爸爸自行興建住所後，利用剩餘的建築材料，在花園建造一間地下酒吧，裡面設有吧枱、闊屏電視機等，一家人除了會邀請友人到酒吧聚會外，亦會在那裡觀看電影，形容是新冠肺炎疫情下最佳的消遣場所。

綜合外媒報道，英國西約克郡域菲路（Wakefield）41歲男子Jody Wainright為一名兩孩之父，他和家人在興建住所後，在2017年決定用剩餘的建築材料，在後花園範圍建造地下室酒吧，面積為10米乘5米，以充分善用花園的空間。
花費約21萬港元建地下酒吧
Jody形容以前從未見過「花園地下酒吧」，直言地下室酒吧跟其他人在花園建造的典型酒吧不同，表示：「它是與別不同的東西，有令人驚嘆的元素，因為它不是你平日會看到的東西。」他指起初跟建築商開玩笑稱「我想要一間地下酒吧」，結果一周後他們就開始往地上挖洞，挖出約700噸泥土；透露約6周內完成地下結構，再在上方鋪泥和草坪，額外材料費用約2萬元英鎊（約21萬港元），
「關於這間酒吧，我最喜歡的是無人知道它在那裡。它上面有一個棚子，所以偽裝得很好。建造過程最大的挑戰之一，是防止水滲入酒吧，並為酒吧頂部提供防風雨保護措施。」

Jody表示受電影《蝙蝠俠》中的蝙蝠洞所啟發，利用黑色的家具和工作台營造一個黑暗的空間。酒吧角落有一個休息區，其中一端設有一張吧枱，附有生啤和蘋果酒等，酒吧中間則有數張梳化和一張桌子。
一家人酒吧看電影 疫情下消遣
他亦在酒吧放置電影《星球大戰》的海報和其他電影的紀念品，並放上設裝飾畫框的球衣和其他體育紀念品。他指酒吧同時兼作電影室，他和家人可透過安裝在牆上的闊屏電視機看電影，另有一個從天花板上垂吊下來的屏幕，讓他用作觀看體育比賽。他形容在當地新冠肺炎封城期間，這間地下酒吧是最佳的消遣場所，
「在封城期間，酒吧是天賜之物。很高興有一個可愛的空間，讓我們一家人好好欣賞和享受。我的孩子很喜歡酒吧，他們總是在那裡與朋友聚會或看電影。我的妻子也很喜歡，雖然我不確定她是否喜歡我長時間在那裡看足球比賽。」

Jody指每當有客人造訪並看到地下酒吧時，均被酒吧所震攝，「這不常見，也因不是每天都可以進入地下酒吧」，
「當有朋友造訪時，這對我們來說很棒，因為你可以把音樂放得更大聲，而我們在地下室，其他人聽不到，所以我們不會打擾到鄰居，這是一個優點。」
